Victorian Terrace Retrofit in Lambeth on Site

Work has begun on a renovation project in the Rectory Grove Conservation Area in Lambeth. The scheme includes removing an outdated rear garden shed and carrying out sensitive alterations to the rear extension, including a new contemporary roof to boost natural light and improve overall performance.

The interior will be reorganised to create brighter and more efficient spaces. The basement will gain clearer separation between living and kitchen areas, as well as a new utility room, shower room and sauna. The ground floor will be updated with new storage and an additional bedroom. The first floor will be reconfigured to include a large ensuite and a generous dressing room.

Externally, enlarged glazing and the new roof structure will enhance light levels while remaining in keeping with neighbouring homes. The rear elevation will be finished in white painted brick and complemented by a rain chain for a simple, refined look.

With construction underway, the project delivers contemporary upgrades to a period property while respecting the character of this important Lambeth conservation area.
